When contemplating the name for this book I first expected it to be “Religion.” However, as I was putting it together, “religion” did not quite seem to be inclusive enough for what I had discovered and captured through my camera lens. “Worship” seems to fit better. As I have traveled around the world, I have seen amazing, yet familiar representations of religion and I have also been exposed to many other religions and forms of worship that were new to me. The human imagination is truly incredible, and it is portrayed in so many ways. I am very lucky to have seen firsthand its manifestation in its many forms. A lot of this, as you will see in this book, takes the form of gathering places for the purpose of worship. However, on a few occasions I got to partake or witness acts of worship that were new to me and left a lasting impression.
